According to UNESCO, in 2012, 61 million children of primary school age and 71 million of lower secondary school aged children were out of school over the world.

Sshrishti’s Informal Education and Flexible Admission Procedure is tailored to meet the needs of the children of migrant labourers coming from all parts of India. The diversity of race, language, religion and culture makes a standardized education incompatible with the learning capacities of these children.  The prevalent uniform and normative pattern of instruction at the primary level prevents the attainment of ‘basic literacy and numeracy skills as well as the competencies and life skills required to live safe and dignified lives’.

As a result of the modifications to the RTE, admission to schools beyond the primary levels has become the prerogative of the individual school and its authorities.

In order to prevent these children from dropping out of school we need a standardized test for children across the country… JOIN OUR PETITION TO THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, GOVERNMENT of INDIA
